Pandy is also having fun with grandchildren Ava Reiser (8), Phoebe Reiser (6), Owen Ward (2.5) and Zachary Ward (9months).
“Art has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. When I became an art teacher to 7th and 8th graders, my Mom gave me all of the artwork she had collected from me over the years. It was fun to see what I made in the 7th and 8th grades. Sculpture was my favorite class back then and I thank my middle school teacher Bob Walker for my ending up as an art teacher.’’
“Breast Cancer in 2003 inspired me to draw and then paint with watercolors. I use pen and ink to add details…. A nice calming focus,” states Pandy.
Since she retired in June of 2011, Pandy has had several one-woman shows including Casa Nueva (40 pieces), The Athens Library, and The Parkview Gallery in Chillicothe. She has been juried into and participated in numerous other shows including The Bra Project, FLOW, Voices, twice into Ohio+5 and The Spirit of the Appalachian Region shown in the OSU Urban Arts Space, Columbus, Ohio and the Majestic in Nelsonville, Ohio. She was very excited to be joining the IAA this year for the PAC show in Parkersburgh, Ohio..
